Editions Comparison

Frogwares sells three digital editions of The Sinking City 2 at launch. All pre-orders include the Chthonic Arsenal weapon pack regardless of tier. Higher tiers add cosmetic outfits, resources, a side mission, and early access. Use this page to decide whether the $10 jump from Standard to Premium is worth it for your playstyle.

Standard Edition — $49.99

Includes:

  • Full base game
  • Chthonic Arsenal (pre-order bonus): Shale Mary handgun, The Breakwater shotgun, Tektite Tommy SMG

Best for: players who want the complete story without cosmetic extras. Combat remains fully viable with in-game weapons found through exploration.

Deluxe Edition — $54.99

Everything in Standard, plus Arkham Field Kit:

  • Outfits: The Anatomist, The Witness, Heretic Heraldry
  • 3 Dream Essence
  • Resource pack (crafting materials)

Best for: players who want talent head start and crafting buffers without paying for the side mission.

Premium Edition — $59.99

Everything in Deluxe, plus:

  • 24-hour advanced access (play from August 17, 2026)
  • Holloway Manor side mission on cliffs outside Arkham
    • Optional ritual investigation
    • Bucking Bronco revolver transferable to main campaign
    • Kane’s Hefty Barrel and Wrapped Grip attachments
    • Revolver ammo recipe

Best for: fans who want day-one bragging rights, collectible firearms, and extra horror content beyond the main flood storyline.

Bundles

Steam lists optional bundles pairing The Sinking City 2 with The Sinking City Remastered or Sherlock Holmes: The Awakened at small discounts. Only buy bundles if you want those additional Frogwares titles.

Post-launch availability

Pre-order bonuses may become paid DLC later — Frogwares has not confirmed. Buy before August 18 if you want guaranteed Chthonic Arsenal inclusion.

Tax and currency

Displayed USD prices exclude VAT or sales tax. European PS Store listings show EUR equivalents with local consumer rights. Deluxe cosmetic outfits have no gameplay stats — budget-conscious buyers can ignore them.

Streaming and content creator angle

Premium early access helps creators publish day-one guides before most players finish Holloway Manor. Casual buyers gain little from 24-hour head start unless scheduling time off work.

Historical Frogwares pricing

The Sinking City Remastered and Sherlock titles often receive bundle discounts during seasonal sales. Waiting for a holiday bundle may beat day-one Premium if you do not need early access.

Content creator licensing

Streaming Holloway Manor early requires Premium. Standard buyers can still stream main campaign on global release without extra license fees beyond platform terms.

Deluxe vs Premium math

Deluxe costs five dollars more than Standard for outfits and resources. Premium adds another five for Holloway Manor and early access. If you value only the side mission, Premium is the breakpoint; if you want cosmetics without early access, Deluxe suffices.
